OrbitOps Pro vs ServiceTitan
ServiceTitan is an enterprise platform built for large operations with dispatch teams, call centers, and sales pipelines. OrbitOps Pro is built for small to midsize service businesses that need the day to run itself: recurring routes that generate without re-entry, materials that bill as they're used, and a record of the work that outlasts the people who did it.
ServiceTitan's product description verified from servicetitan.com, August 2026.These two platforms serve different ends of the field-service market. ServiceTitan is built for scale — dozens of trucks, a dedicated dispatch team, pricebook management, and a sales-pipeline CRM. OrbitOps Pro is built for small to midsize service businesses that care more about what the tech logged at the job site than about a call-center dashboard.
This page covers the structural differences that matter if you are evaluating both: how payments work, what data reaches your accounting system, and whether you can see the price before you talk to sales.
Where OrbitOps differs structurally
These are design decisions built into each platform's architecture. They do not change with a plan upgrade or a configuration setting.
The payment keeps the name of the tech who took it
A payment taken in the driveway carries that technician's name for the life of the record — including after they leave the company. The name is frozen onto the payment when it is taken, so it survives the account being removed. A payment with no tech against it reads as the office, never as unknown.
Corrections append, they never overwrite
For the trades that bill against a specific unit — HVAC and marine services, on Executive and Premier — once something is logged against that unit nobody can edit or delete it. Not the office, not a technician, not us. A correction is added as a new entry, so the history reads forward and nothing quietly changes underneath it.
No processing spread on payments
OrbitOps Pro does not add a fee on top of card payments. You connect your own Stripe account, funds settle directly into it, and Stripe's own processing rates apply. There is no additional percentage or per-transaction fee from OrbitOps Pro.
You are the merchant of record
Payments run through Stripe Connect. Funds land in the operator's own Stripe account — not in OrbitOps Pro's account first. Stripe carries the processing risk, and the operator's business name appears on the customer's card statement.
One codebase for every trade
OrbitOps Pro runs the same code path for every trade — pool service, HVAC, pest control, marine, and every other vertical. What changes is the trade configuration: which visit types appear, which compliance fields show, and which tools are on the menu. There is no separate edition built from a different fork.
Routes that build themselves, dispatch on the calendar
OrbitOps Pro generates recurring routes — the same stops, on the same cadence, without someone re-entering them each week. Dispatch runs off the calendar: a day's jobs sit against the tech or crew running them, and you move them as the day changes.
One set of books, one system that feeds them
Both platforms integrate with QuickBooks Online. The difference is what the integration is. ServiceTitan's is an export: it copies customers and invoices into QuickBooks and keeps the two sets matched. OrbitOps Pro's is a monthly summary: your books get the month's numbers, and nothing exists in two places.
What ServiceTitan exports to QuickBooks
- Customer information is exported with the name
- QuickBooks Online receives name-matched customer record exports
Note: ongoing ID-based customer sync is a QuickBooks Desktop feature. The QuickBooks Online integration receives name-matched customer record exports.
Verified from ServiceTitan's help documentation: "Using QuickBooks Desktop vs. QuickBooks Online," August 2026.What a second copy costs
An entity sync means two systems each hold a copy of every customer and every invoice, and keeping those copies matched is now part of running your business. A name edited in one place, a duplicate created by a failed match, a batch that stopped partway — reconciling it lands on whoever does your books. ServiceTitan's own documentation advises keeping QuickBooks Online export batches to three or four invoices at a time. (Verified from ServiceTitan's help documentation, August 2026.)
What OrbitOps Pro posts to QuickBooks
- One monthly summary journal entry
- Five lines: Billings, Revenue, Sales tax payable, Collections, Collections applied
- Against your own chart of accounts
- Operator-triggered — it posts when you tell it to
No customer names. No customer records. No invoices. No line items.
Verifiable from OrbitOps Pro's published privacy policy and data-handling page.OrbitOps Pro owns the customer, the work and the billing; QuickBooks owns the books. One journal entry a month crosses that seam, so there are no duplicates to merge and no sync to troubleshoot — there is no sync. It also means your customer list never lands in your accounting platform. But the reason operators want it is simpler than that: month end is five lines, not a reconciliation.
Pricing you can see before you call
ServiceTitan pricing
ServiceTitan does not publish pricing publicly. Quotes are provided through their sales process.
OrbitOps Pro pricing
- Signature — $149 /month, 3 tech seats
- Executive — $349 /month, 8 tech seats
- Premier — $549 /month, 15 tech seats
Your own login is never a seat. Additional seats are $20 per month. Pay annually and two months are free.
What each plan includes
Scheduling, invoicing, and card payments are in every plan — they are the job, not an upsell. The plans differ on how much of the back office you want OrbitOps Pro to run: estimates, inventory, QuickBooks Online, route optimization, timesheets, and the money-recovery reports each unlock at a specific tier.
Who this is a good switch for
Sized for small to midsize operations
If the overhead of an enterprise platform — the implementation timeline, the sales process, the per-technician pricing — is more machinery than your operation needs, OrbitOps Pro is built for small to midsize service businesses at a fraction of the overhead.
Route-based work
If your day is a recurring route — pool service, pest control, landscaping — and stops need to generate themselves weekly without re-entry, OrbitOps Pro is built around that workflow rather than around a dispatch queue.
The job changes once you're on site
In the repair and install trades, on Executive and Premier, the approved estimate runs the job and anything added in the field is billed as a marked overage — so the extra part fitted at 4pm is on the invoice, not in someone's memory.
You want to see the price first
OrbitOps Pro publishes every plan and every price on its pricing page. You can evaluate the cost, compare plans, and sign up without a sales call or a custom quote.
Common questions about switching
What is the main difference between OrbitOps Pro and ServiceTitan?
ServiceTitan is an enterprise platform built for large operations with dispatch teams, call centers, and sales pipelines. OrbitOps Pro is built for small to midsize service businesses that need recurring routes, job-site materials tracking, and a job record that stays intact as crews come and go.
Does ServiceTitan publish its pricing?
No. ServiceTitan does not publish pricing publicly; quotes are provided through their sales process. OrbitOps Pro publishes all three plans on its pricing page: Signature at $149, Executive at $349, and Premier at $549 a month.
Does OrbitOps Pro charge a processing fee on card payments?
No. OrbitOps Pro does not add a fee on top of card payments. You connect your own Stripe account, funds settle directly into it, and Stripe's own processing rates apply.
How does ServiceTitan's QuickBooks integration differ from OrbitOps Pro's?
ServiceTitan exports customer information with the name to QuickBooks. The QuickBooks Online integration receives name-matched customer record exports. OrbitOps Pro posts an operator-triggered monthly summary journal entry — five lines of accounting totals against your own chart of accounts. Nothing exists in two systems, so nothing needs reconciling; no customer records, no invoices, and no line items are sent.
Is OrbitOps Pro a good fit if I currently use ServiceTitan?
If you run a small to midsize service business and the day is a route, OrbitOps Pro is built around that workflow, at a fraction of the overhead. The recurring schedule generates itself, the job site is where the record gets made, and the month closes as one invoice per customer.
Your customers didn't sign up for our software — you did. Their names, addresses and phone numbers stay in your account. Your books get a month of totals rather than your client list, and our own support console can't display who they are.
